Downtown L.A. Union Rescue Mission for Homeless Families

Mary took part in the Christmas "Shopping" Spree organized by the Downtown L.A. Union Rescue Mission for Homeless Families. The participants in the event were all homeless single mothers with kids.

A large selection of "free stuff" was supplied to the event. The mothers and families were offered the opportunity to freely fill their shopping bags with everything from clothes and shoes to toys and games.

Houseware items and tools were also available, as well as personal items - toiletries and cosmetics, and more.

A craft area was set up down the hall from the big "shopping" room so the kids could be kept busy and preoccupied while their moms "shopped." Mary enthusiastically volunteered in the kid area, handling the crafting. The event was great fun for all!
